Annual Leave Policy

All staff are entitled to 28 days annual leave (inclusive of bank holidays). Requests must be submitted at least 2 weeks in advance via the Holiday Request form. During peak broadcast periods (major sporting events), leave may be restricted. Approval is at the discretion of your line manager.

Health & Safety Policy

The company is committed to providing a safe working environment across all sites, OB units, and venues. All staff must complete a site-specific risk assessment before commencing work. PPE must be worn where required. Any incidents, near-misses, or unsafe conditions must be reported immediately using the Incident Report form.

Equipment Care & Usage

All broadcast and EVS equipment must be handled with care and in accordance with manufacturer guidelines. Equipment faults must be reported before the end of shift using the Incident / Fault Report form. Staff must not attempt repairs beyond their competency level. Equipment must be signed out and returned to stores after each deployment.

Data Protection & Confidentiality

Staff must comply with UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018. Client broadcast feeds, schedules, and operational information are confidential and must not be shared externally. Personal data of staff and clients must be stored securely and only accessed when necessary for business purposes.

Driving & Vehicle Policy

Staff driving company vehicles must hold a valid UK driving licence and declare any endorsements. Vehicles must be checked (tyres, lights, fluids) before each journey. Maximum continuous driving time is 4.5 hours before a 45-minute break. Any vehicle damage must be reported immediately.

Social Media & Public Communications

Staff must not share behind-the-scenes content, broadcast feeds, or client-sensitive information on social media without prior written consent. When representing the company publicly, staff should conduct themselves professionally. Any media enquiries should be directed to management.

Disciplinary & Grievance Procedure

The company follows ACAS guidelines for all disciplinary and grievance matters. Issues should first be raised informally with your line manager. Formal procedures involve investigation, a hearing, and the right to appeal. Staff have the right to be accompanied at any formal meeting.
